Cyber Security: Protecting the Digital World
Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting systems, networks, and data from digital attacks. It's a vast field with various specializations, but its core principle lies in safeguarding information and infrastructure from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.
Key areas of focus:
Network security: Securing computer networks and devices from unauthorized access.
Information security: Protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
Application security: Ensuring the security of software applications and data.
Operational security: Implementing processes and practices to protect organizational assets.
Incident response: Responding to and recovering from security incidents.
There are some Techincal Skills required for the Fresher’s to join in the Cyber Sec Industry…
Networking fundamentals: Understanding network protocols, configurations, and vulnerabilities.
Operating systems: Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and potentially macOS.
Scripting languages: Familiarity with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
Cryptography: Basic understanding of encryption and decryption techniques.
Security tools: Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions.
