What is Web 3?

Web 3.0, often called "Web 3," is the next evolution of the World Wide Web, aiming to create a more decentralized and user-centric Internet. While the exact definition and features of Web 3.0 can vary depending on who you ask, there are some general concepts and principles that are commonly associated with it.

Some of the technologies that are often associated with Web 3.0 include:

- Blockchain: A distributed and decentralized ledger technology that underpins cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

- Cryptocurrencies and Tokens: Digital or virtual currencies that use cryptography for security and operate independently of central banks and governments.

- Smart Contracts: Self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement between buyer and seller being directly written into code.

- Decentralized Finance (DeFi): Financial services and applications built on blockchain and cryptocurrency platforms, aiming to make financial services more accessible and inclusive.

- Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs): Unique digital assets verified using blockchain technology, representing ownership of a particular item or piece of content.
